USDC Staff and Management Profiles
Mrs. Susan N. Kisitu – EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Mrs. Susan Kisitu who is the head of programs and leads
the steering committee on all USDC programs. She has
been working with USDC for the past 20yrs, 14 of which
she spent in the field as coordinator for Luwero before
joining the program team at the head office in Kampala.
She has since been in charge of national field operations
as the field director and in 2008 was appointed the
Executive Director of USDC. She has a Masters in NGO
management from Uganda Martyrs University and other certifications in Monitoring and
Evaluation, Policy and Advocacy, Community Based Rehabilitation, finance management
and fundraising.
Mrs. Dolorence Were –
SENIOR PROGRAM OFFICER (M&E)
Mrs. Were Ms. Dolorence Were who is in charge of field
program coordination and works as the Monitoring and
Evaluations officer. She has been working with USDC
for the past 10yrs, 5 of which she spent in our field office
in Hoima as the coordinator before joining the program
team at the head office in Kampala. She has since been
working as the M&E officer for the country program. She
has a Post Graduate Diploma in ICT Policy and Regulations,
Bachelors in Sociology and German Literature and several other certifications in Monitoring
and Evaluation, Policy and Advocacy, Community Based Rehabilitation and Community
Mental Health.
Ms. Susan Nalwera - ACCOUNTANT
Ms. Susan Nalwera and is incharge of all organizational
accounts and financial matters.. She holds Post graduate in
Accountancy, a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree
majoring in Accounting and presently pursuing a certificate
in ACCA several other certifications in Audit and internal
review and Budgetary Management and Expenditure

Miss. Eva Baguma – FUNDRAISING OFFICER
Miss. Eva Baguma has been working with USDC for the past
5yrs as the Programme Officer in Charge of Fundraising and
Resource Mobilization. She is also in charge of Public Relations
and Communications for the organization.. She has Bachelors
in Tourism Management, from Makerere University and other
training certifications in Fundraing and Resource Mobilization,
Data Base Management, Research Methods, Strategic
Planning and Report Writing.
Miss. Saskia Dagget – VSO VOLUNTEER
(ADVOCACY SPECIALIST)
“It is very rewarding and fulfilling to see children with
disabilities ad their families being transformed through
medical and social rehabilitation interventions.” Saskia
Dugget, a VSO volunteer from London UK said about her
6 months placement with USDC in 2009/10.

Miss. Florence Ndagire – LOBBYING & ADVOCACY
OFFICER
Advocate, lobbyist, feminist and lawyer. There are many
words that can descript this fenominal addition to USDC’s
team.
She is totally blind and has 4 years of experience in
community development, career guidance and youth
and peer counseling. She has 2yrs in Lobbying and
Advocacy and Disability Sensitization and Communication.
She holds a Bachelor of Law Degree majoring in
Human Rights and Advocacy.

Mr. Difasi Wabusa – ASST. ACCOUNTANT
Has 4 years of experience with NGO finance and
accounting systems and joins us from the World
Vision field office in Eastern Uganda. He has Bachelors
Degree in Business Administration – and currently
works between USDC head office and the USDC
Masaka office which is currently implementing a
project under Terre Des Hommes Netherlands.
Mrs. Rose N. Kugonza – ADMIN. ASSISTANT
Has been with USDC for 10years working as the
Administrative Assistant. She is a former benefitiary
of USDC’s program in Masaka and holds a Certificate
in Computer Science from Masaka Vocational Training
Centre and a Certificate in Customer Care
and Client Relations.
Mr. Eriga Jos Perino – Senior Team Leader
Has been working with USDC for over 10 and has work
in the entire Northern Uganda region as a field coordinator
USDC in Lira, Moyo, Adjumani and Nebbi and now heads
our programs in Eastern Region as well . He holds a
Bachelors and a Masters Degree in Development
Studies – and currently heads our Orphans and Vulnerable
Children’s Projects in the North and East of Uganda.
Mr. Steven Eguma – PSG Focal Person Arua
Has7 years work experience with USDC in Lira, Moyo,
Adjumani and Nebbi. He holds a Bachelors Degree in
Community Development – and currently works with USDC
Lira office, coordinating Parent Support Group activities for
the West Nile Region.
Mrs. Loy Adepit –
Regional Team Leader Far East, Soroti)
12 years of experience in disability community development
work Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies and a
Certificate in Child Rights Programming.
She has been implementing OVC project activities in Soroti
for the last 2yrs and before that work on the Mental Health
project for Cordaid.
Mr. John Mary Nsimbi
Regional Team Leader Northern Central, Masaka)
12 years of experience in disability community development
work with USDC in Lira, Arua and Masaka. He holds a
Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies– and currently
works between USDC head office and the USDC Masaka
office which is currently implementing a project under
Terre Des Hommes Netherlands.
Mr. Katongole Atanansi – Logistics Officer, Kampala)
Has been working with USDC for 17yrs and has 15years of
experience in logistics and fleet management. He holds an
O’level certificate and a Driving Permit.

Mrs. Christine Luboga – Vice Chair of the Board
Has been a board member since 2007and is An
administrator at International School of Uganda. She
brings with her a lot of skills for fundraising and
administrative Management.
Mr. Donald Nyakairu – Board Chairman
Has been on the USDC board for 8yrs and is its current
chairman.
He works as the Company Secretary on of Uganda’s
biggest telecom companies, Uganda Telecom Ltd and is a
qualified lawyer. He brings with him a lot of skills for
governance, management and technical support for
legal issues, project management and organizational
development.

Dr. Francis. Tusubira – Board Member
Has been a board member since 2003 and currently
works with Rotary International and is a former
Rotary District President (District 9200). He has key
competence in ICT policy and regulation reinforced by
continental level and international experience in
policy analysis and formulation, capacity building, and
research in the same sector.
He practices at the local, regional and international level as a thinker, advocate and
consultant in ICT for development. He brings with him a lot of skills for governance,
management and technical support for Information Technology, fundraising and
project management.

Eng. Patrick Batumbya – Board Treasurer
Has been a board member since 2006 and works with
renowned architectural firm MBW based on Bukooto Street
in Kampala. He brings with him a lot of skills for project
management, design and construction.

Mrs. Sue Farmer – Board Member
Has been a board member since 2002 and is An
administrator at International School of Uganda. She
brings with her a lot of skills for fundraising and
administrative Management.

Mrs. Sarita Alam – Board Member
Has been a board member since 2006 and is a renowned
Business woman and Philanthropist from one of the Elite
Mogul families in Uganda, the Alam Group, who have been
business pioneers in Uganda for many decades. She brings
with her a lot of skills for fundraising and management.
Mr. Abhay Agarwal – Board Member
Mr. Agarwal joined the USDC board in 2004 and is an
accomplished I.T Business Man and Entrepreneur. He is
the C.E.O of SCI/NCR, an Information Technology and
Equipment Firm in Kampala and brings with him a lot of
business acumen and financial skills and tremendous
support for fundraising.
Mrs. Olive Bwana – Board Member
Mrs. Bwana joined the USDC Board in 2008, is an
accountant by profession and is a parent of a disabled child.
She brings with her nearly 20years of disability exposure and
experience in development and is also seats on several other
disability boards.
